Compliance monitoring associateAn award winning wealth management company is looking for someone to join their first line of defence monitoring team which predominately covers the IFA businesses however you will be involved in compliance monitoring across their asset management business as well. LondonThe role *Comply and adhere to rules and regulations as stated by the regulator and set out in our internal policies*Personal accountability to identify and minimise or escalate risks when identified in line with our Group risk policyFinancial Consulting: *Review the FC business division to identify the areas of weakness and those not previously monitored, seeking counsel from the MD of Financial Consulting*Execute the FLD monitoring plan to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as set out by the FC business. This potentially involves undertaking, tracking and collating monitoring results and ensuring these results are escalated to FCMD in order for the business to enforce any remedial action*To identify areas which require further review, making recommendations or identifying potential resolutions where appropriate and to inform the FCMD of any areas of concern*Identify and report weaknesses to FCMD regarding existing policies and procedures*To contribute to an effective and positive risk management culture in the business*To fulfil compliance requirements and procedures to the highest standard*To proactively implement and understand the regulatory environment relevant to FC and any changes communicated by the business, Compliance or the FCAAMSU:*Undertake and execute part of the monitoring plan to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. This involves tracking and collating monitoring results and ensuring these results are escalated to Senior Management in order to enforce remedial action*To carry out monitoring tasks as established by the Asset management monitoring plan*To identify areas which require further review, making recommendations or identifying potential resolutions where appropriate and to inform the head of AM of any areas of concern in order for those concerns to be elevated via the AM Risk Committee*Identify and report weaknesses in existing and recently implemented policies and procedures. Consult with the relevant owner of those policies and procedures where appropriateExperience*Relevant experience of IFA compliance monitoring*A sound understanding of regulatory requirements of an IFA business and of investment, savings and pension products
