Read on Our London office have a fantastic opportunity for a Decision Science Analytics Manager to join us on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for developing and managing development, validation and maintenance of credit risk scorecards across our Satsuma business brand. You will liaise with other teams on scorecard implementation, cut-off strategies, oversight of scorecard monitoring, and related recommendations regarding scorecard re-alignment or re-development. You will: Develop and manage development of credit risk scoring and underwriting modelsDevelop and manage development of behavioural scoring models to enhance collection and borrower retentionOversight post implementation monitoring of all scorecards to ensure discriminatory power, stability, and accuracy is within tolerance limits Work with the data team to ensure that data is fit for purpose, is optimized for analytical work, and new data sources are integratedWork with Analytics teams to analyse and recommend appropriate cut-off strategiesLiaise with business stakeholders to understand modelling requirements, and provide direction and oversight on model use Evaluate next generation tools to reduce scorecard development time without degrading benchmark performanceLead a small team which is likely to grow, and be responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to themManage costs within budget parametersIdentify, initiate, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and business change Essential Significant experience as a scorecard developer preferably from within a Credit Risk functionExpertise and experience in credit scoring and other statistical modelling techniquesStrong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisationAbility to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at Head of Function levelAbility to lead, coach and mentor a teamRigorous attention to detailStrong understanding of consumer credit, preferably in the non-standard sectorAdvanced programming ability in either SAS, SQL or R as well as MS Office packageSkills and ability to communicate complex analytic results in a clear and concise mannerAbility to manage workload by producing timelines, schedules, and project plans Desirable Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business Qualifications Essential Degree in in statistics, mathematics, sciences, operation research or econometrics Desirable Postgraduate education Please note: Closing date for all applications is Monday 14th November, 2016.Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)Provident is one of a select group of forward thinking organisatons that have signed up for the National Equality Standard (NES).
