An opportunity has arisen within one of our clients for a Business Manager within their innovative and ambitious software business. The Business Manager will have a varied and exciting role in a business that is rapidly expanding. The Business Manager will be a key member of the Business Management team and will play a fundamental role in the successful delivery of our contracts and consequently the success and profitability of the business. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including development of key client relationships, optimisation of revenue opportunities and input into the strategic development of the department as a whole. Ultimately the BM is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the business are delivering best value to our clients. The successful candidate will report directly into the Head of Business Management and will undertake a comprehensive month training programme. Upon completion of this training programme the BM will be handed existing contracts to manage going forward. The role will require travel to clients (expenses paid) and/or flexible working hours depending on how the business grows over the coming months. The Role Contract Management Develop and maintain client relationships at senior levelsProduction and analysis of management informationUtilise performance reports to design and implement initiativesAgree, deliver and maintain client SLAs and KPIs Revenue Management Responsible for turnover and net profitIdentification of additional revenue opportunitiesRevenue generation strategy management Expansion Identification of further opportunities within current client baseDelivery of presentations to prospective new clients The Person The successful applicant will be highly analytical, with a proven ability to interpret a set of figures and create an action plan based on the results. The BM will be required to articulate information in a way that is both interesting and compelling allowing clients to arrive at informed decisions. Whereas the technical skills to analyse and interpret data will be fundamental to the role, you will also be personable and diplomatic; he or she will need to show judgement that can be trusted to deliver the right results. The BM must be able to influence client and supplier behaviour whilst maximising profitability.
