Accounts Payable Clerk - Birmingham City Centre - Temporary to Permanent The Role We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client on a temporary to permanent basis. This is due to company expansion and will be an exciting opportunity to join a business that has aggressive growth plans over the next 3-5 years. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following: Daily cash book management and reconciliation of bank accountsPreparation of all supplier invoicesAll invoice processing, credit memos and account queriesReconciliation of supplier statementsPreparation and processing of weekly and monthly cheque and BACS runsPreparation of monthly staff expensesPreparation and processing of monthly credit card statementsPreparation of monthly accounting reports including accruals and prepaymentsPreparation of accounting records for period end closureGeneral office duties as required This role requires someone with experience in a high-volume environment, with a clear track-record in query resolution and excellence in customer service. The successful Accounts Payable Clerk is likely to have exposure to a large, multi-sited ledger with the ability to prioritise. You will also have very strong IT skills, in particular Excel, and any experience with Sage will be highly-regarded. The Candidate For the role of Accounts Payable Clerk, we seek a candidate from a similarly fast-paced environment, with a positive, "can-do" attitude and motivated approach. You will be accurate, able to deliver to deadlines, and offer insightful thoughts on process improvement. The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will be an ambitious, flexible individual, who is seeking to take their career to the next level. Salary for this role will be GBP20 - GBP22k, depending on experience. you must be available to start as soon as possible for this temporary to permanent opportunity.
