Sales Account Manager Connected Home / Smart Metering / Smart Energy Home Based This is a rare opportunity to support the launch of revolutionary products to market. The products include a range of newly developed and unique smart energy products into energy retailers. This is an exceptional role with an exciting young company. Your role will be to liaise closely with senior management and clients to ensure that new products are introduced smoothly in to client environments working collaboratively with the rest of the team. This position would be well suited to a seasoned product sales manager with a background in product sales within the energy retail or electronics industry. The role involves: Managing the customer relationship throughout the tendering, contract negotiation, implementation and product delivery phases Assist management with the preparation of technical tender requests Assist business stakeholders and team members in planning discussions, facilitating workshops and discussions to confirm and clarify product implementation phases, targets and milestones Taking full responsibility for all marketing material including web-site, brochures etc. Create, maintain and own sales implementation plans ensuring communications with all stakeholders are well established Purchasing and sales support i.e. receipt of customer orders, raising PO's for manufacturing, invoicing customers Expand relationships with both existing customers and seek out and develop new customers Maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction and repeat business To qualify for the role you will have: Strong consultative and product sales skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels, forging powerful working relationships with customers and team members. Commercial and technical experience a distinct advantage Accomplished communication skills, leading discussions with clients from board level downwards gaining agreed consensus on actions and progress Proven experience in significant product sales both in the UK and global marketplace Strategic thinking coupled with a tactical, pragmatic approach to tasks Experience of delivering end-to-end business solutions (ideally within an electronics product development environment) Advantageous: exposure to preparing technical tender requests Advantageous: experienced in driving forward, delivering and supporting new business initiatives within medium sized and large, corporate organisations Advantageous: Experience working in the smart metering, in home display and connected home market. Desirable: expertise in consumer based electronics products, new product introduction with knowledge and understanding of products and trends
