HR Manager Bedford GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 per annumMy client now has an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join their expanding business in Bedford. My client is one of Britain's well known background checking providers. They are a rapidly growing organisation who plan to triple in size by 2020. This would be the ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a growing company and to take a lead on the business's HR function. Job Purpose The HR Manager will be responsible for the delivery of an outstanding Human Resources service to all stakeholders through continuous improvement. This role will focus on delivering excellent within recruitment, induction, performance management and employee relations. As the HR Manager you will be responsible for: * Leading the HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service * Partnering with managers and employees to drive development * Advising the Board on HR related matters * Implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes- ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with employment law * Providing support and guidance to all employees including sickness, discipline and grievance * Measuring employee satisfaction * Coaching managers on performance management * Guiding managers and their teams on learning and development * Implementing training and development agenda * Managing talent and succession planning * Managing on-boarding process from offer through to induction * Managing relationships with outsourced providers * Manage and maintain the HR and payroll system- focusing on establishing an integrated system (HR and payroll) Essential Skills and Experience: * CIPD qualified * Demonstrable knowledge and experience of leading the HR function, ideally within a growing organisation* High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Good listening, rapport building, negotiating, collaboration & conflict resolution skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Able to deliver results with minimal supervision and comfortable operating as part of a wider team * Strong team player with a collaborative, practical 'can-do' approach * Logical and systematic approach * Advanced computer skills (Microsoft packages) This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark and develop the Human Resources Function within an ambitious organisation.
