This newly created role offers the chance for the successful candidate to shape a new service line in the business, grow a team and ultimately progress towards partnership in the business. The Role The role sits within the Business Transformation team part of a wider Business Advisory offering, which is dedicated to improving clients' performance through the use of clearly defined methodologies and processes, across a variety of sectors and engagements. The role reports into the Head of Service Capability for Benefits Realisation Management and Business Cases. The Business Advisory team delivers transformation programmes for clients across a wide range of sectors. The programmes vary widely - covering organisation design, supply chain improvement, process improvement and asset management - but all have one thing in common. They are invariably connected with the impact of built assets on the performance of the organisation. Key responsibilities will include; To be able influence benefits led thinking with executive sponsors in client organisations and within the business at both a leadership and operational levelTo lead on and/or support business development activity and increased sales for the capability areaTo build benefits realisation management capability within the Business Transformation teamTo commission manage and deliver on single large scale or multiple smaller scale benefits realisation management commissionsTo update and maintain a knowledge management system on benefits realisation managementTo be able to commission manage other consultancy projects not directly related to benefits realisation management, as and when needed The Candidate Ideally you should have significant experience of delivering benefits management and realisation plans across large complex programmes, ideally in the public sector (an understanding of large infrastructure programmes, especially in transport would be fantastic). This could have been achieved either in a consulting organisation (preferred) or in a client environment. Experience of both legacy (social, economic, environmental) benefits delivery and operational (cost, quality, risk and time) benefits delivery would also be ideal to see on a CV. Essential Skills: Excellent knowledge of benefits realisation management processes and techniquesEducated to at least degree levelExcellent communication, negotiating and influencing skillsExperience dealing with stakeholders at all levels of a large organisation. Confident in dealing with senior executivesAbility to lead and gain the respect of a teamOrganising and facilitating small and large workshopsStrong knowledge of project management and effective reportingExperience in developing and presenting business cases Desirable Skills: Change management skills and experience to bring structure to complex situationsExperience of working with government departments. Good knowledge of management structures, policies and culture in the public sectorMSP and PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner or similar.
