POSITION: Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity PERSON: A graduate with a strong academic record and a 2.1 or above - perfect for aspiring primary teachers! Any experience supporting Early Years children would be highly advantageous! ROLE: Teaching Assistant supporting a Reception class LOCATION: Close to the Brixton area in Lambeth South London - reachable via the Victoria line and over ground services. START DATE: Immediate - Interview and start after October half term (w/c 31st October) PAY: GBP65 per day A large and busy primary school in close commuting distance to the Brixton area of Lambeth, South London has opened its door to invite Graduates, who are proactive, self-motivated with a cheery disposition to work with a lively Reception class. The Victoria line is their closest underground service that also has over ground connections and plenty of buses that connect the surrounding boroughs. The AHT is a highly experienced early years leader who would like to recruit with vision, passion and flair, someone who can bring an infectious level of enthusiasm to help encourage and stimulate their tiny minds. They need a Graduate who genuinely wants to make an impact that is flexible, heaps of patience and resilience to work in a diverse and demanding environment. These young pupils are early on in their primary education with some still struggling with the transition in to school life. They have children at all stages of learning with some that need additional support to help them get up to speed with their peers. To be considered for this Teaching Assistant opportunity you need to be degree educated, holding a 2.1 or above classification, a strong academic record with a hefty ambition to go on and train as a primary teacher in the future.
