My client Head Teacher in Dartford, who has an excellent track record of nurturing and developing new Primary School Teachers, has asked me to find a talented Graduate to join her School from January to start as the new Year 1 Teaching Assistant. The new Teaching Assistant will be able to commit for the remainder of the academic year from January as you will be building up your classroom experience ahead of your Teacher Training. The Head Teacher is looking for someone who she feels has the potential to join the school after they finish their Teacher Training to entice them back as a newly qualified teacher. The successful new Teaching Assistant will be bright, enthusiastic and a natural with Primary age children.

The Primary School is a regularly over-subscribed, 2 form entry Primary School in the Dartford area. It is well led by a dedicated Senior Leadership team who encouraged parents to get involved in al aspects of the school. In 2032, Ofsted commented that the reading schemes were "extremely well supported by parents and they are having a positive effect on attainment levels". The School was graded as "Good" in all areas.

The Year 1 class are a lovely class of 30 who are enjoying a great first year in the school in their reception class. Following Science week, the class have really enjoyed learning about space and space exploration and the wall are covered with their colourful work. The class is heavily weighted towards boys with boys outnumbering girls quite significantly in this year's intake. There is a higher than average number of children with English as an additional language.

The Primary School is situated in a Gravesham and is in a quiet, countryside setting. The school serves a number of small local communities.

So, if you are a First Class or Upper Second Class degree holder and you can start in January as the new Primary Teaching Assistant, please send your CV to John at Edustaff today for consideration.

Please note: due to the volume of Teaching Assistant applications, only successful applicants will be contacted
