Person Specification
This vacancy is designed for a purposeful graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and previous experience supporting children. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop excellent relationships and an infectious love for learning. You must have the skills to rise to challenges and keep optimistic even during the most stressful times of the year. You will provide to demonstrate that you have a well rounded understanding of the subject in hand and an encouraging attitude.

About the Role
This Year 6 Learning Support Assistant role involves you assisting the teaching and learning specifically within an eager-to-learn Year 6 class of 28 pupils. Aside from supporting in class, you will lead your own group activities and teach 1:1 and you will learn how to plan effective and engaging lessons. Your duties will include signing up for as much training and CPD as possible and aiding the learning and development process. The English department will completely support you in the raising of attainment. No matter what your background and amount of experience the school will ensure you are amply supported in many ways including providing you with a mentor who is hugely respected in the school.
