Learning Support Assistant Role Overview
In this Learning Support Assistant role, you will be leading intervention sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis. The job entails working closely with Teachers and the school SENCo to set achievable targets and monitoring progress for students, then help them achieve it. The school ask their Learning Support Assistants have an involvement in after school clubs that boost academic knowledge. No day will be the same in this Learning Support Assistant role as you work across the school in a variety of subjects supporting pupils who need some extra help to really understand a particular aspect of the subject. Teachers work closely with the school's Learning Support Assistant team, so we are looking for a candidate that can cope well with responsibility and successfully plan reasonable objectives for pupils.
