Penetration Tester - Metasploit - Nmap - Escapee - Wireshark - OWASP -

Penetration Tester (SC Cleared) required to scope, lead and conduct technical assessment activities of cyber and information systems for customers (including defence, other government departments and industry partners.

To provide a technical contribution to the UK's Cyber defence capability. This is a leading role on understanding Cyber threats, the nature of system vulnerabilities, analysing system characteristics, and developing technical solutions from initial concept to in-service use. The successful candidate will use tools and techniques to assure the technical security of a system and is expected to develop the support team required in order to help the team leader shape and rebuild the Cyber Security Technical Assessment capability.

Essential:

Skilled and experienced in disciplines such as penetration testing, OWASP framework, network packet capture and analysis, vulnerability analysis and detection, and log analysis.
In-depth knowledge of encryption standards.
Proficiency in tools such as Metasploit, Nmap, Escapee, Wireshark
Strong written and verbal presentation skills
Demonstrates the skills needed to review, direct and sign-off the technical work of others. Champions the scrutiny and challenge of technical work.
Innovative/Creative in application of technical knowledge to solving defence problems.

Desirable:

Understanding of the relevant customer environments (within MOD and Front Line Commands)

Essential:

Level 6 SANS qualification or experience
Profession member of a professional body such as BCS or IET.

Provide technical assessment to assure cyber information systems. The role will provide methods, tools and techniques to deliver that service.
