We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to lead our English Department and join our Extended Leadership team. This role is pivotal in continuing the school's plans to achieve excellence for all our students.

The successful candidate will be expected to continue to develop and deliver an innovative and challenging curriculum which caters for the diverse needs of our students, and contribute towards the strategic leadership and management of the school. We require an excellent classroom practitioner who is a creative thinker with strong communication and leadership skills and will work closely with other Directors of Curriculum Area in developing provision that ensures a high quality experience for all.

You should have good inter-personal skills and a proven track record of successfully implementing departmental strategies to develop teaching and learning across the English Department. You will have a proven track record of promoting outstanding progress and outcomes for students at GCSE and / or A' Level.

The successful candidate can expect to be part of a supportive staff committed to making a real difference to the young people of Bridlington. You will join a friendly and hardworking team, be involved in decision making at a senior level and will have the opportunity to develop through first class CPD. The successful post holder will be expected to teach across the age and ability range to help to secure the continued success of English at Headlands.
