Power Systems Software Engineer Position Description
Power Supply Systems is an area within the Powertrain Electrification Group that designs all areas of power generation, storage, management and off-board charging for this Tier 1 manufacturer of vehicles. They have responsibility for all levels of vehicles, from conventional cars, through micro-hybrid, mild hybrid, plug-in and full electric vehicles. The Power Systems Software Engineer is responsible for taking higher level requirements and decomposing them to software-specific deliverables. There will be a need to communicate with other teams as well as suppliers to ensure that software requirements are correctly specified and agreed and software creation and validation is also expected as part of this role.
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED - Power Systems Software Engineer
* Must have experience of interacting with other system owners/suppliers to gather requirements and work with others to create optimal system designs
* Experience of creating software to requirements in Mathworks/TargetLink environment
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, data and conclusions within the team and to stakeholders
Power Systems Software Engineer Experience Required
* Degree in Engineering, Software or related discipline
* Knowledge of automotive product development Experience of developing AutoSAR-compliant software
