Senior Oracle Analyst Programmer

We are looking for an exceptional Oracle Analyst Programmer to be a Business Systems Team Member with a dual role of supporting and developing Oracle E-Business suite applications and Business Intelligence systems. The successful Senior Oracle Analyst Programmer will have a minimum 3 years, essential recent development skills in: Reports 6i, 10g, Forms 6i, 10g and Oracle PL/SQL

??? The experience gained in the position could open up opportunities that lead to future management roles in Business System or the possibility for the right individual into a BI Solutions Architect position, this role would be responsible for design of the BI architecture from data sourcing through to the end target data structures and presentation of data through dashboards and reports within the BI web portal.
??? The individual could eventually be responsible for BI company strategies. Responsible for identifying, testing and delivering proposed solutions, presenting strategies and solutions to the business senior management team.

Job Description
??? A key member of the IS team supporting and developing Oracle Applications E-Business Suite ERP, primarily in the areas of Sales, Warehousing, Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, Research, Design and Quality.
??? Undertaking extraction of data elements from Oracle E-Business suite and other data sources, building the BI business model and mapping layer which may include hierarchies, dimensions, and aggregates.
??? Working very closely with functional analysts and 3rd Party Support providing the mapping of the presentation layer objects to Oracle BI in creating the metrics for the analytics dashboards.
??? Involves supporting / developing additional systems including Oracle Business Intelligence, TruTime, SharePoint, Supportworks and other business systems.
??? Involves working closely with the Analyst Programmers, System Accountant, Business Analysts, DBAs and leading "Functional Support" staff creating Developments (using PL/SQL, JDeveloper, Forms 10g, Reports 10g, Oracle Workflow 2.6), Testing, Documentation and Implementation of new Business Processes and Information Systems and upgrading software versions that assist in the continual improvement of Business Processes and execution of the company business.
??? Supporting multiple Oracle Modules, including Order Management, Warehouse Management, Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Inventory, Bill of Materials, Work in Process, Quality, ASCP.
??? Working closely with and leading "Functional Support" staff and software suppliers in providing support, assistance, bug resolution, patch fixes, testing, user documentation and on-going training of staff on the business processes and information systems, resolving problems as required.
??? Assisting, developing and guiding more junior IS department staff.
??? Perform such other duties and responsibilities appropriate to this position.

Experience and Skills Required:
??? Educated to degree level in computing discipline.
A minimum 3 years, essential recent development skills in:
??? Reports 6i, 10g
??? Forms 6i, 10g
??? Oracle PL/SQL
??? BI Publisher

??? Must have programmed around packaged software.
??? Experience of support of ERP and implementation of upgrades.
Having worked on, or have knowledge of some of the following modules within Oracle E-Business Suite Application would be of very beneficial but is not essential:-
??? Order Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management - Inventory/Shipping, Purchasing, Bill of Materials, Engineering, Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), Work in Process, User Productivity Kit, Internet Developer Suite, Discrete Manufacturing, Financials, Field Sales, Depot Repair, Electronic Order Line, Oracle Business Intelligence.

??? Advantage but not essential to have knowledge of DW\BI project lifecycle, tools, technologies and best practices and knowledge of Oracle BI Tools (OBIEE, BI Analytics, BI Answers, BI Publisher, BI Repository (RPD), DAC, ETL, Security, E-Business Integration etc.
??? Good interpersonal and communications skills, with IT and non-IT staff.
??? Highly customer focussed.
??? Self-motivating, committed to the needs of the business.
??? Flexibility over working arrangements to support existing systems and meet project deadlines.
??? Having worked within manufacturing or distribution companies would be desirable.

Training:

Mobility:
??? Clean driving licence. Ability to react quickly to reach Chard site.

Availability:
??? Must be available to work hours required to resolve urgent problems. Will be required to carry a company mobile phone and on occasions of emergencies, be available for call out 24 hours a day.

Dimensions
??? Salary Range: circa ??45-55k dependant on experience
??? Hours: 37 hours per week
??? 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; 1:30 p.m. - 5:15.p.m. Monday / Thursday
??? 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday
