Class 2 HGV Driver

Class 2 HGV Driver Kier Environmental is looking to recruit a Class 2 HGV Driver, who will report to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of loaders to undertake collection of recyclables direct from individual households. This work will include, but is not limited to the sorting, separating and bulking of recyclable materials both on the kerbside and at the depot. Key Responsibilities: Drive commercial vehicles safelyEnsure daily checks are undertaken on the vehiclesEnsure that all recyclable materials are collected from individual households on the roundsSorting, separating and bulking recyclable materialsEnsure that safe lifting and working practices are observed and appropriate personal protective clothing is worn at all timesEnsure all of the company Health and Safety requirements are adhered toCompete daily paperwork as appropriateProvide basic information on the operation of the scheme to members of the public as required, including providing the appropriate pre-printed information leafletsRemain in contact with the Supervisor/Office Staff and be responsive to operational needs Key Skills and Qualifications: Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence for at least 2 yearsHolder of a LGV Cat C (HGV2) licenceexperience of undertaking regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levelsExperience of work involving lifting of recycling boxes and other recyclable materials is essentialAbility to navigate using maps and books provided (desired)Reliable, conscientious, flexible and punctual About Kier: Kier Group plc. is a leading construction, property, residential and services group which invests in, builds, maintains and renews the places where we work, live and play.
