Pre-Assessment Nurse - Shepton Mallet

Job Summary We are looking for Registered General Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team in outpatients at Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre. The Treatment Centre only treats NHS patients and is focused on providing the best possible, personalised care to the people of Somerset. We offer a range of treatments and also provide diagnostic services, using the latest MRI, ultrasound and plain film x-ray technology. A recent CQC inspection showed that patients are positive about their experience and that staff were focused on providing care and effective treatment and support to patients. Responsible To Outpatient & PEC Manager Qualifications ??? NMC Registered Nurse Level 1 with pre-assessment or surgical experience Key Responsibilities As an experienced Nurse you will assist in the efficient running of the outpatient and perioperative service and co-ordinate the patient's hospital admission from pre-admission to discharge ensuring that the patient's needs are met, integrating high quality care in the most cost-effective setting. In addition you will organise and undertake pre-admission screening of selected patients ensuring they are fit for surgery at the given site on the date allocated, taking the lead on developing the pre-assessment process to be nurse led where appropriate.
