Minimum qualification - full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
Minimum experience - suitable experience of running a key group.

Job Purpose
To assist in the day to day running and development of the settings facilities. To support the staffing structure and follow the settings policies and procedures to ensure children and their families are offered a high quality of care, development and support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
???To manage a key group with planning, assessment and observations of / for children to ensure the children have interesting and challenging educational programmes.
???To ensure all assessment of children are accurate and up to date.
???To ensure parents are partners in their child's development following the settings procedures when doing so.
???To ensure the setting and environment is safe at all times and follow all health and safety policies and procedures the setting has in place.
???To undertake admin tasks from time to time as directed by the manager.
???To check and maintain levels of stock, to make it known when levels are low in order to assist in the re-ordering of stock.
???To assist the Proprietor in offering support and encouragement to parents, by taking an interest in and supporting parental needs and informing the line manager prior to contact being made with the parent.
???To assist the Proprietor in maintaining effective lines of communication with other professionals in relation to individual children and their families.
???To participate in regular staff meetings and training as directed by the Proprietor.
???To take part in the settings timetable of liaising visits, introductions and other activities to ensure smooth transition of the children into school.
???To take part in advertising and recruitment of children into the setting, ensuring the distribution of adverts, prospectus, open days, visits etc.
???To be involved with fund raising activities as appropriate by agreement.
???To take responsibility for display work and up keep of the nursery environment when necessary.
???To provide relief cover for sickness and courses attended by other members of staff.
???To provide support where necessary between the hours stated in your contract at short notice.
???To undertake further training when required in line with Nursery policy and as directed by the Proprietor. Keeping all training records up to date
