We are a market leading provider of Limited company accountancy services to the contract and freelance market. The company manages the accountancy requirements of 100's of contractors and continues to grow year-on-year.

Principle objectives and key responsibilities

The principle objectives and key responsibilities of the role can be summarised as follows:

To monitor the team client base of 150, to include trading status, invoicing requirements and statutory deadlines.

To assist with the continued development of the Accounts Administrators within the team and to ensure the team workload is monitored for peak periods and specific periodical duties.

To ensure the on-boarding process for new clients is smooth and consistent with the practice workflow.

To be able to prepare and submit financial accounts and corporation tax returns to HMRC and Companies House.

To assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and to ensure they are filed on-time.

To assist with the monthly and year-end PAYE procedure and to liaise with the accounts administrators where necessary.

To be able to provide clients with tax efficient solutions to withdrawing their money, citing previous earnings, and current tax thresholds.

To assist and liaise with the accounts administrators ensuring bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.

To liaise with all client in an efficient, professional and problem solving manner at all times, proactively informing clients of key deadlines and liabilities when they fall due.

To build and maintain good relationships with all clients and to source referrals when the opportunities may arise.

Qualified (AAT) is essential to the role.

A working knowledge of IR35 is desirable by not essential.

Practice experience is preferable but not essential.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:

Competent using all Microsoft Office applications

Ability to demonstrate intermediate levels of team management and development.

Ability to work well under pressure both alone and in a team environment

Ability to communicate effectively via email, telephone and face-to-face with a high standard of professionalism and integrity with all required individuals and organisations including directors, managers, colleagues, customers, clients and prospective clients

Able to manage own work and priorities as necessary.

Experience using IRIS software (Accounts Production, Business Tax and Personal Tax) and Sage Line 50 software would be advantageous, however full training will be provided in due course
