37 hours per week
£20,600 per annum + benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Case Worker to join the team. Our client is a supported housing project that provides modern temporary accommodation for up to seventeen people and offers a secure, friendly environment, with trained staff on hand to provide support and advice to residents.

As Case Worker you will:

  • Work at the forefront of projects in the delivery of support to service users.
  • Take a leading role in the provision of support and often being the main link between staff and service users.

  • Provide a wide range of support with service users to improve their quality of life, their ability to sustain tenancies and the achievement of independent living.

  • Ensure the effective day-to-day running of the service.

  • Be proactive, solution focused and work with external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for service users

The successful candidate will:

  • Have hands on experience working with this client group.

  • Be experienced in delivering structured support to clients and undertaking risk assessments.

  • Have experience and understanding of professional boundaries when working with client group.

  • Possess strong communication skills required including listening, negotiation and persuasion techniques to be able to work with a wide range of people using various methods such as face to face, phone, email and texts.

  • Have the ability to create good relationships with and motivate client group

  • Understand the housing and support needs of service users.

  • Be aware of Health & Safety legislation in the workplace.

  • It would be advantageous to have good knowledge of welfare benefits and budgeting skills

Employment for this position will be conditional upon two satisfactory references (one from your current employer) and a satisfactory Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS). In return Axiom offers an excellent benefits package including (not exhaustive list):
