Role: Assistant Tax Manager
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
Duration: 7 - 12 Months
Assist Tax Managers with the delivery of UK Tax reporting for Life Tax clients as required, ensuring daily; monthly and annual tasks/reporting are completed in a timely manner; effectively reviewed and checklists completed to evidence key controls have been adhered to.
Ensure junior members of the team effectively review daily CGT control reports, identify errors and resolve unprocessed CGT or loan relationship positions correctly prior to daily pricing position. Monitor effective resolution of errors and escalation of issues in a timely manner.
Develop effective relationships with clients and external third parties, ensuring that taxation issues/queries are resolved satisfactory, within agreed deadlines and following established procedures. Attendance at client service review meetings as required.
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
A few years of Financial Services Experience
Professional qualification - ideally ATT, CTA or equivalent accountancy qualification would be useful but not essential.
Knowledge of ICON and Sage (corporation tax module) would be useful but not essential.
Comfortable researching and disseminating technical knowledge to the team.
