GBP14,939 to GBP16,279 pro-rata per annum
36 hours per week
Temporary until 31 March 2017 (Absence Cover) We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated General Assistant who will provide an exemplary service to clients of the Carnegie Conference Centre, contributing to service mainly provided, but not exclusively, from the Portering and Restaurant teams. You will liaise with clients throughout their event ensuring that all their needs are met and respond quickly and purposefully to all requests within the front of house and back of house areas. In addition, you will work with all departments at the Conference Centre to ensure the client gets the best possible service at all times. The ability to cope with the physical demands of the role is essential as extensive lifting and handling of office furniture is involved therefore the successful candidate will be offered the position subject to a satisfactory pre-employment health questionnaire. You will be educated to SVQ Level 2 or equivalent (SCQF Level 5) in a hospitality related subject. Effective communication skills, enthusiasm for the task, a high degree of flexibility and the ability to use your own initiative are essential.
