Position: Engineering Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Leicester
Salary: circa GBP35'000 per annum + Pension
Hours of work: Days - Monday to Friday - 39 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Position Overview:
Our client are a market leader in their sector with an impressive background of investing in and developing employees at all levels of their business, in terms of training and career progression.
They are currently seeking a maintenance engineering team leader to bolster their team and engineering capabilities to deliver plant improvements and increased efficencies.
Key Duties:
* Managing the assignment of electrical / mechanical workload across the department
* Planning and leading activities at routine maintenance shutdowns and large shutdowns
* Expediting activity associated to CAPEX or improvement projects.
* Working with the Maintenance Technician and Performance Manager as to deliver productivity, quality, energy and site improvement projects.
* Responsible for implementation of plant and maintenance capex projects ensuring activities are carried out safely and on time (projects from cGBP50k - GBP500k), budget GBP1M
* Deputy to maintenance manager, taking control of c15 staff during when absent or off site
* Responsible for subcontractor management and safety
* Responsible for identifying and eliminating recurring plant issues through engineering improvements
* Responsible for driving improved plant reliability through best practice
Experience and Qualifications Required:
* Mechanical Engineering qualified NVQ 3 or similar qualification
* Project planning experience, and work breakdown structure
* Setting up fully automated stores systems
* Strong Environmental Health and Safety awareness and certifications.
* Supervisory Management experience
* Awareness of manufacturing costs and cost control
* Experience working with hydraulic & pneumatic equipment
* Data collation, analysis and report or presentation.
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance areas.
* Strong manufacturing experience / lean manufacturing
* Previous experience in TPM / PPM systems
* Previously worked within a strong ISO 9000/14000 culture
