PERMANENT ROLE STARTING 2017
SALARY 28 - 32K
8am - 4.30pm mon to thurs. 8am - 1pm Fridays
Responsibilities include:
*Generation and control of production schedules in accordance with customer requirements for short, medium and long term horizons both for Workshop & Field Services
*Assist and where applicable direct the purchasing function to ensure timely delivery of material to achieve production programmes
*Create and agree monthly schedule for inter-department materials deliveries to ensure delivery of production programme
*Generate data to enable KPI monitoring and review of schedule adherence
*Generate long term capacity plans
*Proactive involvement in tendering activities
*Proactive involvement with WPS activities to develop processes, people, and materials to ensure continuous improvement
*Perform any other duties as appropriate within the individual's skills and competences
*Flexibility with regards start and finish times and off site visits will be required
Essential Requirements:
*Able to read technical drawings
*Computer literate
*Understanding of lean manufacturing
Desirable requirements
*Good working knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous but not essential
* Experience of working in the rolling stock, manufacturing or similar industry advantageous
