We are looking for an experienced and motivated idividual to join us as Resettlement Manager.
Drawing on over 30 years’ experience of refugee resettlement, Refugee Action are working with Liverpool City Council as part of the Syrian Vulnerable Persons resettlement scheme to welcome refugees.
As Resettlement Manager you will ensure the effective management, and development, of the Resettlement Team, ensuring the provision of high quality services that are responsive to the needs of refugees and that meet internal and external quality standards.
You will lead on developing and maintaining effective partnerships with Voluntary and Statutory sector stakeholders to ensure the provision of appropriate services to newly arrived refugees.
With a focus on fostering independence and respect for the culture, personal history and situation of service users you will have excellent management skills and the ability to support staff and volunteers in emotionally demanding work.
You will also have:
- Ability and understanding of how to provide high quality face-to face support, including assessment and care planning.
- Excellent partnership and negotiation skills and the ability to work constructively with a wide range of external agencies, voluntary, statutory and private sector.
- Good working knowledge of UK mainstream services e.g. Education, Health, Housing, Welfare Benefits and community support systems.
- Experience of supporting volunteers.
Please note that the office base for this position has not yet been confirmed but the role itself will involve significant travel throughout Merseyside and the Liverpool region.
