Title: Behavioural Specialist - Midlands and North region
Location: Nationwide
Salary: £28000 - £35000/annum Pension and Company car
The community services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also in residential care.
We are looking to enhance our team and are currently recruiting for a Behavioural specialist to strengthen our operations team in the Midlands and North region. The behavioural specialist will be involved in the behavioural support of adults who may have learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism and/or other associated difficulties, mental health issues or physical disabilities. The primary role of the behavioural specialist is to impart best practice in supporting individuals who present with challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour support across services within the region.
In order to perform this role effectively, the post holder will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Experience with Functional Behaviour Assessments and writing Behavioural Support Plans
* Effective communication re: articulation of support and written Behaviour Support Plans
* Expert experience with Autism learning disability, challenging behaviour, and Mental Health client group
* Work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Organisational skills
* Exceptional interpersonal skills (listening, verbal and written communication)
* Strong influencing skills
* Ability to impart best practice in an advisory role
* Presentation Skills (attendance at business development and tendering events may be required)
* Able to use standard applications to process, obtain and combine information e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, mail merge, and databases
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
* A full UK drivers licence
This post is home-based but you will be required to travel to our Services across the North and West Midlands Regions.
