Project Manager Required in Farlington, Portsmouth

Mountjoy is a leading service provider of building and maintenance support across southern England. We have an excellent reputation for delivering flexible, tailored services, including new builds, major and minor refurbishments, alterations, extensions and rolling programmes of works across all building types and in both the public and private sectors.

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Farlington.

Role Responsibilities

As a Project Manager you will plan and successfully deliver commercial building projects up to circa GBP650k in value whilst ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times. Your responsibilities will also include:

- Ensure that the work we deliver is of a suitable quality and defect free
- Lead and supporting Site Managers/Working Foremen in the delivery of their roles
- Manage contracts by invoking good commercial decision making and financial discipline
- Organise start and finish dates for sub-contractors and suppliers and ensure they are working efficiently
- Plan and deliver work to a target programme, ensuring that quality is maintained
- With the support of the Operations Manager ensure that timely valuations and contractual procedures are met
- Attend Client meetings as appropriate and provide progress reports and updates to clients and your line manager with regard to the work we are delivering for them
- Ensure your contracts are working efficiently, through the use of performance measures achieving the goals set out within the business plan

Our ideal candidate

As our ideal Project Manager, you must have the following skills and experience:

- Proven experience in Contract/Works Management of commercial building projects.
- Have a degree, diploma or HNC in construction.
- Have SMSTS.
- Possess excellent communications skills both written and verbally.
- Ability to influence and implement creative ideas and solutions effectively.

In return for your hard work, you can expect to receive a salary of GBP40,000 plus company van with a range of benefits.
