Multi-lingual Sales Co-ordinator
Based: Hertfordshire
Salary: GBP23,000 up to GBP25,000 DOE + Benefits + Bonus
Multi-lingual Technical Sales Engineer
My client is a world class Hertfordshire based manufacturer. An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Multi-lingual Sales Coordinator into their in-house Sales Team to focus predominately on selling into the European marketplace. Candidates must have with previous sales experience and be fluent in at least one European language as well as English. Candidates who hold a technical degree-level or equivalent qualification (such as engineering, materials science, chemistry, etc.) are of great interest. Applications are invited from Technical Sales Engineers, Technical Specialists, Sales Co-ordinators, Product Specialists, as well as R&D Engineers and Scientists who are striving to develop a career that is commercially focused. The actual level of this position is to be decided based upon the successful candidate's relevant previous experiences, which is reflected in the salary bracket on offer.
This role can be surmised as one that is business critical in the way it connects various teams, sales representatives and customer across Europe with the UK manufacturing site. It is very sales orientated and requires extensive liaison with various teams including sales representatives, R&D scientists, and engineers who work with blue chip customers at a technical and senior level. Applicants must have at least one year's experience of supporting sales (including telephone / telesales / email) and be motivated to succeed. Candidates who are currently and/or have previously worked within sectors that focus on the application of materials, coatings, glass, metals, ceramics or chemicals are likely to be of particular interest. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Equally as important is the ability to work well in a team.
Candidates must have a strong grasp of English and have the ability to communicate in at least one foreign language fluently - in particular, European languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian or Eastern European languages are preferable. This role will mostly be office-based but may involve both domestic and overseas travel to visit colleagues and customer sites for meetings on occasions, so a driving licence and passport are highly desirable. There is also excellent career progression associated with this role, together with a very competitive salary and excellent package.
