Job Tittle; CAD Technician/Project Manager - Shop Fitting

Salary; GBP30,000 Per Annum - GBP35,000 Per Annum
Shift Pattern; Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm plus overtime
Location; Leicester
Our client is currently seeking a CAD technician/Project Manager for their Leicester based workshop where you will work directly with the Head of Projects, once the job becomes live, you will take ownership to draw from the clients detail until approved, once approved the bespoke details such as metalwork, glass etc will need to be put into drawing packs and detailed for suppliers and the joinery elements set out in manufacturing drawings for the workshop.
The role will also include liaising with the foreman to get jobs into production and to meet the deadlines
Weekly meetings with Production Director, Head of Projects and Foreman
Our client works with many high end brands in the cosmetics and jewellery sectors so attention to detail is paramount. The role is predominately office based but will occasionally require site visits and surveys and visits to see clients
The right candidate needs to be proficient in AutoCAD or similar and able to draw units and fixtures from client briefs, the successful candidate will also be sent on a course for Inventor.
The Role
Taking a client brief and working from client's drawings to produce technical drawings for workshop use
Drawing units and fixtures in such a way to make construction easy
Drawing and ordering of external material requirements such as metalwork and glass
Detailing drawings and briefing workshop foreman
Communication with the shop floor staff to answer queries or issues
Occasional site surveys and client meetings
The Candidate
A dynamic person that can work well as part of a team
Great communication skills
Ideally joinery, cabinet making or shop fitting background
Ability to work in Auto CAD is essential
Inventor experience is desirable however not essential as our client will send successful candidate on a Inventor course
A keen eye for detail & the ability to work under pressure
A flexible approach to work & the ability to prioritise & manage time effectively
Have a valid UK driving license
