Ripe4 are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity with a multinational specialist manufacturer. Our client is seeking a Focussed Technician to join their company!
The Focussed Technician will be involved in improving the overall equipment efficiency of the area under their responsibility through coaching and using WCM tools to: implementing fix forever solutions to simple problems; form part of wider teams for more complex issues; and overall drive the zero breakdown and losses mind-set.
Requirements:
• Perform 5S audit according to the defined schedule and implement the improvement
• Ensure breakdown analysis for all component failures and the implementation of countermeasures to eliminate root causes has been completed
• Ensure the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are reviewed and the gap analysis is carried out on a regular basis to understand and input into the improvement plan.
• Lead the technical element of preventive maintenance, completing work as required
• Prioritise and lead improvement studies and activities to eradicate chronic and sporadic losses applying systematically appropriate FI tools and techniques
• Ensure improvements are sustainable
Required Experience:
• Candidates should be time served apprentices and have a minimum NVQ level 3 in Engineering
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Multi skilled engineering experience (mechanical, electrical and software)
• Understanding of 5S, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
