A Electrical Packaging Team Leader is required to work for a leading automotive OEM supplier based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
The Electrical Packaging Team Leader will be responsible for delivery of robust Electrical Package solutions and escalating shortfalls including Programme gateway risks and assumption changes. Create compatible package solutions for electrical components around the vehicle, fulfilling all electrical requirements and that are acceptable to all other CoCs, Manufacturing, service, Marketing, HMI and design. Secure packaging sign-off of new installations from all stakeholders.
Ensure all packaging solutions adhere to packaging design standards. Ensure all packages adhere to 6mm static clearance and 18mm dynamic.
Skills Required:
1. Certified CATIA V5 or V6 User
2. Negotiation skills to deliver robust Engineering Package solutions.
3. Project Management
Support the creation of package feasibility and status metrics. Support the maintenance of Packaging for EDS cost and weight optimisation data sheet. To be included as part of the SM sheet pack Develop and reinforce existing relationships with Vehicle Engineering. Support and resolve any arising package issues from virtual and physical prototype build events. Support the manager with the delivery of Electrical Packaging Process development and improvement projects.
