Employment Coach

Harrogate or Skipton, North Yorkshire – Peripatetic role

Salary: £23,650 + benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week, core hours but flexible to meet business needs as some out of hours working is required.

Our client has over 400 employees operating out of various locations throughout the UK. In order to maintain their excellent service they rely on the quality of the people who work for them and their people are fundamental to the company's overall success.

As part of their business strategy, the Company will be delivering new contract service provisions within a number of locations for two prime contractors.

The main purpose of the provisions will be to work on the DWP ESF contract supporting individuals who are furthest from the labour market, including those who may have been unemployed for some time. Our client will provide support for both benefit claimants and those people of working age who are not claiming benefits, all delivered through the Company's aim to provide a one-to-one support to help individuals address multiple barriers and move them into sustained employment.

To support this new contract they are recruiting for an Employment Coach to join their team based in Skipton or Harrogate in North Yorkshire..

The Role:

As Employment Coach you will support unemployed service users in entering the employment market, undertaking effective job matching activities resulting in job outcomes and identifying sustainable employment opportunities.

  • Manage a caseload of clients on a one to one and group basis

  • Utilise a variety of means to facilitate improved employability & social inclusion and identify and coordinate a range of recruitment and selection strategies to secure employment for clients

  • Promote the initiative to internal and external customers through marketing activities

  • Be a source of expert advice regarding employer and vacancy expectations

  • Liaise closely with all relevant parties to ensure customer service levels are maintained

  • Accurately maintain relevant IT systems and produce accurate and timely management information

    The Person:

  • An adept communicator with the ability to persuade, influence and listen to others

  • Displaying strong motivational, customer service and organisational skills

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with excellent IT skills

  • In possession of demonstrable lateral thinking skills

  • Enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others

  • Excellent coaching skills and the ability to develop others

  • Able to work under pressure, on own initiative and constantly seek to improve
