Procurement Specialist (Public Sector, OJEU/CCS, MCIPS) 38-45k - West Sussex

Our client are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist with Public Sector experience to work in a small team across that deals with a broad range of procurement activities and with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.

To be considered, the Procurement Specialist will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Public sector procurement
OJEU/CCS framework experience
Self-starter, self-dependent, self-motivated
Ability to negotiate and amend terms and conditions independently (eg without the use/reference to legal support)
MCIPS (minimum level 4, 5 is preferable if at all possible)
Generalist (the client don't currently operate category management yet)
Experience of buying consultancy and services
Ability support clients throughout P2P cycle (eg from initiation of request through to contract management)
Contracts management capability (although this will only be a small part of the role and the client are not looking for someone with extensive Contracts management experience).

The successful Procurement Specialist will ideally be a generalist who is adaptable when dealing with clients keen to provide services and support over and above the standard procurement role.
