Payroll and Accounts Clerk To GBP25,000 + package 9 month Maternity Cover Lemington, Newcastle-upon-Tyne Engineering November Start DateThe RoleThis position requires an immediately available Accounts Assistant, with broad experience, to cover a period of maternity leave. Key activities will include: Maintaining the Sage Payroll system, and processing weekly payroll for site employees.Reconciling the Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable), making BACS payments to suppliers.Reconciling the Sales Ledger (Accounts Receivable), processing paid invoices.Managing queries arising from payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Ad-hoc financial activities as required. The PersonThis opportunity is ideal for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Payroll Clerk who likes to hit the ground running and use a range of skills: Experience in a Payroll function, reconciling hours worked and authorising regular payments.Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, with supplier and customer facing responsibilities.You will be available at short notice, due to a start date required in November 2016, which will allow for a period of handover.Familiarity with Sage Payroll an advantage.
