This newly created FC position would suit an ambitious and driven individual who is ready to test their finance and accounting skills working closely with the CFO and Leadership team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate seeking to build on an existing sound financial skills base who is seeking to broaden their company exposure and progress to a future Finance Director/CFO position in a dynamic growing business. The FC will also support the U.S. finance function in due course and oversee all aspects of the Group's day-to-day financial management and reporting, ensuring that all financial information is accurately recorded, monthly management accounts prepared promptly and accurately along with cash forecasts. The FC will also have exposure to projects including systems implementation and supporting the CFO and CEO with investor activities and corporate development of the business. Main duties and responsibilities Ensure efficient and effective month end processes, with complete balance reconciliations and appropriate reviews Assisting with financial control (vs Budget, vs Forecast) of their respective areas Ownership of statutory and management accounts all Group companies Development and implementation of transactional accounting processes and controls Create new processes and controls around all new business development Ownership of the Group's annual budgeting and re-forecasting cycle and long term business plan Financial analytical support to the business including cost / benefit analysis of new projects Develop and maintain the Group's long term integrated financial planning model Preparation of regular cashflow forecasts Management of working capital in line with business objectives Coaching and mentoring of a small finance team Knowledge and experience needed to be considered for the Financial Controller position; Qualified ACA Previous experience ensuring financial controls are operating effectively Experience dealing with auditors and HRMC High level of attention to detail Able to work on own initiative and manage a team Excellent organisation skills with demonstrable ability to prioritise work load and meet deadlines
