Our client is a leading brand in the Food Industry. They are currently looking for a Social and Digital savvy Marketing Manager to join their team in Godalming, Surrey. Duties of the role - Marketing: Prepare all key marketing for UK Product Range -To include; Specification sheets, Product Manuals, Customer Product PresentationsLiaise with HQ Marketing on the production of UK Market trade and consumer materials - Consumer Catalogue, Product POS materials, Digital POS, Trade BrochuresWork with Sales Team to produce additional market information/presentations to enhance sales of key product categoriesLiaise with Retail Customer Marketing departments to identify opportunities to grow salesManage UK Trade / Consumer promotionsDevelop and Deploy measurable and effective sales promotions across key product categoriesCommunicate promotions to sales teamAnalyse and report promotion results, making recommendations for future promotionsProduct managementManage product specification details such as barcodes, packaging details, SKU referencesOverview Product marketing materials such as Instruction booklets, RecipesPresent New Product to Sales TeamManage Product Line-Up CalendarTo obtain new product details from HQ Marketing and liaise with Finance and Operations team to ensure product is set up on our ordering systems with sufficient lead time to meet launch plans. Digital development: Optimize our reach with SEO, CRM & websites.Create a Social Media community - Understanding our potential consumers, using the information you have about our current consumers, using social media to create a community, we will interact with on new recipes, new products, new events, online blogging/reviews??? Market Analysis: Competitor Analysis and Pricing Matrix of Key Product CategoriesManagement of UK Market data including GfK reportingInterpret Market data into usable commercial insight for UK Team and prepare information for HQ Marketing.Liaise with HQ Marketing on ad hoc market data requests and product requirements PR of Products: Management of UK PR AgencyDefine the PR priorities aligned to UK Market focus and planManage development of PR materials including Press ReleasesBrief Agency on PR Activities E.g. Press LaunchesMonitor and measure effectiveness of PR activityShare weekly PR report and ad hoc PR news with the Commercial teamManagement of partnerships with Professional Food ContactsDevelop and Implement UK Strategy with UK Professional Food ContactsManage Stock Loan Database for Cookery Schools and ProfessionalsBe the point of contact for Cookery Schools, Professional Chefs, Home EconomistsDrive awareness of product range through these contacts to achieve positive brand and product presence in highly visible, targeted locations to our key target audience. Training: In conjunction with Training Manager, develop training guidelines to suit audience and environment whilst ensuring that key product and brand messages are consistent and inline with strategic direction of the brand. Other Marketing: Events Marketing: Manage involvement in Consumer events such as Good Food Show and Trade events such as CIH. Budget: Develop a Marketing Calendar at the beginning of each fiscal to provide a framework for activity and the related expenditure for the yearManage Marketing Expenditure and reconcile monthly expenditure. Your Skills You're a strategic thinker. Creative, yet interested in the data side of marketing to gain customer insight, measure campaigns etcYou can hold your own in a conversation about ROI and have made the case to invest in digital.Excellent interpersonal skills are required, combined with the ability to provide performance driven leadership to a medium size organization, including an appetite for result orientated hands-on action.Empathy with high-end goods and a real interest for cooking are essential.You are comfortable and keen to work with data. You know what questions to ask and how to get answers. You make data easy to understand for the entire business.You have experience in SEO/SEA, CRM, websites, SMS and Apps.You're on every social platform and understand their benefits.You know how to deal with all kinds of people from agencies to internal departments and you have great communication skills. You collaborate like a champ and are always ready to help out.You care about getting things right - but you also know when it's important to hit deadlines. And let's not forget, you love Cooking and everything about it! LANGUAGES It would be an advantage, but not a necessity, if the person could speak French. REMUNERATION Competitive basic salaryBonus of approximately 10% of annual base salary, depending upon the operational and financial performanceContribution to a Personal Pension Scheme LOCATION Godalming, Surrey. We are looking for candidates who live close to the offices.
