International Display Fixtures Ltd - is a supplier of display fixtures to a number of mainstream retail groups in the UK and their International associates via our sales office based in Rochester, Kent and our head office and distribution facility based in Watton, Norfolk. We design / develop and manufacture on an OEM basis bespoke solutions in accordance with the clients requirements. A large proportion of our equipment is manufactured in China controlled locally by our offices in Xiamen and Shanghai.This approach dictates a high level of stock holding and assembly in the UK requiring competent warehouse management and distribution. IDF is a young but growing company and in it's 6 years of existence has developed to an annual turnover of GBP6.6 million. The management of the business has a wealth of experience within the sector which has lead to this success and we continue to expand in line with our development programme going forward. Job brief We are looking for an effective Warehouse Co ordinator to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Responsibilities Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and visionOversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operationsSetup layout and ensure efficient space utilizationInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and proceduresAdhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirementsMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityManage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemLiaise with clients, suppliers and transport companiesPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise resultsProduce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided Requirements Proven work experience as a warehouse operative / supervisor / managerExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesStrong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databasesLeadership skills and ability manage staffStrong decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsThe position is based at our head office and distribution facility in Watton, Norfolk.The working hours are generally from 8am to 5pm daily but may also require an element of overtime when the levels of business dictates.We offer 25 days annual leave with 3-5 of these days being attached to the Christmas / New Year holiday.There is a workplace pension scheme in place.
