Position: Finance Manager Location: Tottenham, London Job type: Permanent Hours: Full time (flexibility encouraged/potential for some home working) Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 per annum About the role: The Finance Manager role is pivotal to the business. This role requires a confident, trustworthy, experienced Finance Manager, who will become integral to the success of the business and support a new phase of growth. The job holder will implement improvements as required, supporting changes to technology and process. You will manage all required financial processes and interacting with operational teams. You will analyse broad financial data and use that knowledge to make valuable contributions to strategic investments and plans. The Finance Manager will have a more junior accountant within the team but will also work very hands-on with day-to-day accounting matters. Main Responsibilities: - Production of monthly and quarterly management accounts on SAP Business by Design, including profit & loss, balance sheet, commercial analysis and commentary - Manage transactional accounting processes, payments / invoicing, VAT returns - Cash flow reports / forecasts on a weekly basis - Preparing bank reconciliations, end of month reports and completion of balance sheet reconciliations - Reviewing nominal ledger, identifying variances and investigating - Analysis of trends and additional KPI reporting - Understanding operational data and reviewing and reconciling with financials - Ultimate Responsibility for all aspects of purchase and sales ledgers - VAT returns and dealing with HMRC: Ensure compliance with quarterly VAT reporting - Preparation of accounts to trial balance and liaise with accountants to produce statutory accounts - Ultimate responsibility for the execution of timely, accurate stock takes - Managing the company's IT function alongside trusted hardware and software partners - Collating payroll data and liaising with the external payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely runs - Production of annual budgets and rolling forecasts About you: - Qualified or highly experienced in bookkeeping or accountancy. Highly familiar within an SME environment - Experience of SAP Business by Design would be highly preferable. MS Office skills including Word and Excel essential. Generally, tech-savvy and really happy to try new ways of using technology - Experience of working within an owner- managed environment.
