A Plumber is required to join our team in Leeds. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hour per week. WHAT THE PLUMBER JOB INVOLVES: The Plumber role with Unite Students is a varied and challenging one where no one day is the same. As a Plumber, working within a friendly and supportive team you will be playing a vital role in ensuring that students living in our properties have a great experience. Covering a number of our properties, you will be: Acting as a technical specialist for plumbing maintenance worksInstalling and repairing plumbing and heating systemsLocating and rectifying a wide range of plumbing faultsCompleting any required planned tests, inspections and remedial worksProviding reactive maintenance support and completing planned inspectionsUndertaking general repair and maintenance works as requiredEnsuring that all works are conducted to the highest safety and quality standards and in line with regulationsFollowing up on customer or property related issues WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU: Although you may not have worked in the accommodation industry before, what is really important to us is that you: Hold a qualification in plumbing installation to a minimum of City and Guilds Part 2 & 3, NVQ 2 or equivalent with relevant work experienceHave experience of domestic or commercial plumbing within a customer facing roleHave experience working within plant rooms with water and heating systems, including pumps, tanks and water heatersHave developed an understanding of Health and Safety legislation and the L8 Code of PracticeHold a full UK driving licenceAre a first class team player who demonstrates a positive and collegiate attitudeCan work flexible hours (including some weekends), taking part in the on call rotaPossess strong communication skills and can build relationships effectivelyAre computer literate (training will be provided for the use of our PDA system)Have excellent personal time management and prioritisation skillsAre self-motivated and able to work on your initiative ABOUT UNITE STUDENTS: Unite Students is the UK`s leading manager and developer of student accommodation.
