We are looking to recruit an HR Assistant to provide high level HR support and advice in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment. This role is within a busy HR team, offering the opportunity to build upon their HR experience, progress their career and gain extensive experience within a fast paced commercial environment.We are seeking candidates with strong employee relations experience, proficiency managing high volumes of ER cases and a solid knowledge of employment law and legislation. This is an office based role providing support to contracts across the UK via telephone. Role to include: Providing comprehensive advice on Employee Relations situationsAdvising, guiding and supporting ManagersEnsuring HR policies and procedures are met and sound employee relations are facilitated and promoted. This includes: - HR policy and procedure interpretation- Employment legislation- TUPE in/out detailed managements- Terms and conditions of employment- Recruitment and selection- Temporary policy and procedures- Absence management- Grievance- Disciplinary and termination management- Remuneration and benefits- Health, safety and welfare- Performance management issues Conducting and providing support in relation to disciplinaries and grievancesSupporting the Head of HR on completion of ET3 forms and production of Employment Tribunal BundlesIdentifying improvements to existing policies, processes and proceduresUndertaking of ad-hoc projects as and when requiredCoaching HR Assistants in their work relating to disciplinaries, grievances and other statutory proceduresSupporting employees and managers across the UK on a helpdesk for Employee Relations processesHandling high volume ER cases in a fast paced environment and producing correspondence within agreed timescalesProviding advice on all Employee ER issues/policies to employees, including legislation, policies and processes.Undertaking and supporting Area Managers in relation to redundancy and TUPE situations across the businessProduction of confidential monthly statistical reports on: ER cases, Tribunals, compromise agreements, sickness and Employee turnover highlighting any drastic negative or positive movement for the Head of HR Candidate requirements: Appropriate level of generalist HR experience gained within a fast-moving environmentSound legislative knowledgeSound working knowledge of operational issues within the businessAbility to respond under pressure to fluctuating circumstances and the ability to manage a high and diverse workloadIdeally knowledge and understanding of the complexity of working in a unionised environmentHas an excellent understanding of HR policies and procedures and employment legislationHas an excellent understanding of TUPE in & out policies and proceduresHas a good understanding of Pension (ABS) policies and proceduresHas an excellent understanding working within a fast paced, high turnover low margin organisation
