General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our ever growing business. You will spend your time in our office in Swindon. You will: Complete the production of monthly Head Office management accounts via the Financial Ledgers using SAP. Attention to detail is key to ensure the accounts are accurate, whilst variances to budget and last year are understood. Building close working partnership with departmental heads is key.Compilation of monthly SNGR VAT returns for group submission.Group cost centres - Accruals, prepayments, journals. Review of accounts, business partnering for actuals, budget, RF's. Risks and opps for Group central.Month end recharges to BU's - Including maintaining support schedules as necessary.Balance sheet recs - Accruals, prepayments, bonus account etc for balance sheet reviews and year-end audit.Fixed asset coding and reconciliation of fixed assets at month end.Fx rates - downloading monthly fx rates and updating file to send to the business. Updating rates in SAP and Hyperion.Intercompany reconciliations - Updating intercompany reconciliations of balances with the other BU's. Resolving differences and evidencing out of balance. Then once all uploaded into HFM ensuring that the PLC intercompany as a total ties back. Chasing up any differences. You skills will include: Partly qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA/QBE.At least 1-2 years' experience in a finance and accounting function.Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel.Sound working knowledge of SAP.Good stakeholder management and communication skillsGood team playerInquisitive mind to stimulate a natural disposition for quantitative analysisStrong logic and determination support a practical approach to multidimensional problem solvingInitiate and drive finance and cross functional process improvementsShares openly ideas and opinionsAbility to adapt in a rapidly changing environment If you would like to join a company thriving in their market and looking to develop and grow, then this is the role for you.
