Import/Export Manager

Opportunity for an Import/Export Manager to join a growing schoolwear supplier based in Trowbridge Client Details Our client, based in Trowbridge, are a schoolwear supplier within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain currently experiencing a massive period of growth and expansion Description Reporting to the Operations Director, the Import/Export Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and will manage a team of 2 Import Coordinators with a view to growing the department in line with company growth strategies. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Managing the costing process for import and export of product including duty tax on an international scale via road, sea and air freight Maintaining a strict and thorough administration process in line with HMRC legislation ensuring that all documentation is accurate Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and Merchandising Manager to manage the booking and delivery of goods containers in a timely and organised fashion Managing the process of volume increase across a number of different countries during a period of mass growth Overseeing the export of product to customers The running of a duty management system Profile The successful Import/Export Manager candidate will possess the following skillset: Strong experience in a similar role where an import/export team has been managed Knowledge of worldwide legislations and changeover laws Track record of negotiating and managing contracts with overseas businesses Ability to work in a fast growing and changing environment especially facing the challenge of Brexit and possible new trade agreements Strong knowledge and experience working within HMRC laws and legislations, preferably with bonded warehouse and storage experience Impeccable organisation, communication, literacy and numeracy skills Job Offer The role of Import/Export Manager will pay a basic salary of GBP40,000-GBP50,000 depending on experience, 25 days + BH as well as birthday off, government pension scheme
