Our client is looking for a hard-working, reliable, communicative Transport clerk/admin assistant to cover weekends for their fast paced, ever growing transport company based in Beeston. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm working alongside the Depot manager, rate of pay GBP8.75 per hour. Main Purpose of Job: The purpose of this role is to ensure that all transport related administration is completed as per the requirements of our transport operation. To assist the Transport Supervisors in the day to day running of the transport operation Main Responsibilities: Ensuring that all transport related tasks are complete including all administration, customer contact, dealing with driver related issues & problemsolving. Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics & reports Handling day to day queries from drivers, customers and other internal departments Assisting the Supervisors in taking all drivers phone queries, and dealing with phone calls when required Key skills (Interpersonal): Essential: I.T Literate, intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel/Power Point)Ability to generate reportsLiteracy & Numerical skillsExcellent organisational skillsBe able to work effectively as part of a teamReliability and a high level of integrityAbility to work under pressure Desirable: Previous experience within the transport industryHave a good working knowledge of Transport LegislationKnowledge of WTD in regards to Drivers Hours Regulations & tachograph complianceA good geographical knowledge of the UK. Qualifications (General and Professional): Essential: Full driving licence as you may be required to travel Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role for a minimum of two years
