Working hours are 9am to 5pm with one hour for lunch. HR Business Partner Overall Role Purpose: To provide a quality HR Business Partnering service to the Divisional Management Teams and Projects. As well as providing day to day tactical advice and support, this role will support the Senior HR Manager and the wider HR Shared Services Team to deliver strategic HR Transformation projects and other business related projects across the Business Units. Ideally you will have come from a construction or similar background. Key Accountabilities: Engage with all levels of the workforce to ensure harmonious employee relations, taking appropriate formal or informal steps to resolve conflicts and disputes.Provide robust support in the delivery of ER/IR issues: disciplinary, grievance and capability processes to ensure the maintenance of company standards in terms of conduct, process compliance and performance.To be the main point of contact for the Business Unit in matters relating to absence and long term sickness management and to maintain accurate and easily retrievable records for all such cases.Able to effectively coach management in the effective use of performance tools and processes, ensuring that the principles are applied consistently and fairly to deliver outcomes that drive performance and deliver business objectives and to resolve any concerns.Attend and take actions at People Talent Forums, assisting in subsequent succession and talent planning as appropriate. Liaising with L&D experts in business as appropriate.Ensuring HR best practice is embedded in the business by collaborating with the Shared Service administration team to ensure consistency and accuracy of delivery.To advise management on key organisational structure and role issues to ensure that the optimum structure for the business is embedded and any legal impacts and risks are managed appropriately.Be able to assist in discussions around specific reward needs for the business and work with the management team to implement business focused and cost effective reward solutions.To build constructive relationships with Payroll, L&D work and Resourcing Team to ensure the development needs of the business are met and ensure that compliance requirements are achieved.To support the Senior HR Manager on key OD and change projects across the wider business.Work collaboratively with the central administration resource to ensure the accuracy of documentation and records are not compromised.
