This FX Brokerage is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join their team.

The client is a privately owned foreign exchange service, providing expertise in currency management. They deliver strategies to a select number of clients, who rely on them to be their partner in navigating international markets through skilled FX forecasting and effective trading techniques.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Owning and maintaining the trading database of all trades and being able to provide a holistic overview of this at any given time.
- Supporting and developing trading strategies for the business on a variety of products
- Provide technical training and presentations to increase understanding of quantitative issues within Global Markets.
- Liaison with clients for analytical issues, enquiries and trading strategies.
- Co-ordination and enhancement of Analytics Code Library and quantitative code.
- Keeping back office systems up to date I.e. Salesforce
- Development of methodology for stress-testing activities.
- Implementation and on-going maintenance of Swift

The trading part of the role will entail;
- speaking with colleagues, making phone calls and making instant decisions;
- making prices in their relevant products;
- executing trades electronically or by phone;
- liaising with sales traders or clients on market movements;
- predicting how markets will move and buying and selling accordingly (especially derivatives traders who try to predict the state of a market at a future date);
- informing all relevant parties of the most relevant trades for the day;
- gathering information - critically about mispriced currencies, detailed data analysis and valuation.

Skills and Experience
- University degree (Class 2:1 or equivalent, minimum)
- Masters or PhD degree in Quantitative Finance or in a numerical subject (Astrophysics, Machine Learning, Engineering, computer science, maths, statistics, Physics)
- Good knowledge of Forex products and their pricing model with different structures
- Proficiency with standard statistical software
- Experience in working with large volumes of complex data
- The ideal candidate should have strong previous experience gained in a similar role at a banking financial institution, Hedge Fund, HFT Firm or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical, IT, analytical and communication skills
- Use of Bloomberg and Reuters
