Assembly/Test Technicians (Production)
• To carry out mechanical assembly, wiring, testing and calibration of high technology products (flow transmitters).
• Calibration of pressure and temperature switches.
• Assess content of kits with BOM.
• Inspecting, testing and repairing field returns.
• Prioritizing tasks and logically analysing problems.
• Planning and arranging the work schedule with the production Team Leader.
• Liaising with QA, Purchasing and Engineering departments as required.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in order to improve quality, cost and delivery.
MUST HAVE:
• Good manual dexterity, patience, care and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of basic physics principles (pressure, temperature, forces, mechanics, etc).
• Hand soldering skills.
• PCB assembly skills (SMT & PTH).
• Experience manufacturing wiring looms.
• An interest in technology and electronics is essential.
• Good general practical skills perhaps demonstrated through Hobby's / DIY interests.
• IT literate with basic PC Application knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel.
• Cleanliness.
SHOULD HAVE:
• Background in Mechanical and PCB sub-assemblies - Assembly, Test and Repair.
• Manufacturing and MPR knowledge would be an advantage.
COULD HAVE:
• IPC-A-610 qualification
