Sheet Metal Fabrication Foreman, Stoke on Trent, c£28,000pa

My client is one of the UK's leading specialist manufacturers, with a strong track record of success based on quality, attention to detail and customer service. 

To ensure they maintain their position at the head of the pack, they are investing heavily in plant and machinery at their main manufacturing base, and, as part of this, they are setting up a brand new sheet metal fabrication operation.  They are therefore looking for an experienced individual to manage it.  Your initial role will be to help set up the operation according to industry best practice, organising material- and work-flow, and ensuring that the machines are in the correct location, before recruiting the team to work under you and managing all operational aspects thereafter.  Given the initial size of the team, you will still need to be hands-on, able to operate punch presses, cnc lathes etc, but it is also important that you have current experience as your role will involve training and supervision of machine operators on an ongoing basis.
