Braidwood is a highly successful school for deaf pupils aged between 11 and 18 in purpose built accommodation.
Building Services Manager
£19,238- £24,717
Start Date: as soon as possible
This is a full time post - working times to be agreed
We are seeking to appoint a Building Services Manager who will play a key role in ensuring that our school and its grounds is maintained to the highest standards and can work with us in planning and supervising improvements.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has experience in caretaking and basic DIY and repair skills
- Is self-motivated and able to work under pressure, using their initiative
- Is able to identify and prioritise their work effectively and organise their own work schedule
- Takes pride in their work and the condition of the school and grounds
- Has a flexible and positive attitude
- Has a clean driving licence
You will be responsible for:
- The management of the overall provision of security, janitorial and cleaning services at the school
- The management of repairs and maintenance of the school site
- Monitoring the work of external contractors on site
All staff are fully supported in gaining British Sign Language skills.
