Peninsula Pensions is a shared Pensions Administration Service for Devon and Somerset County Councils.
It is an operational unit within Corporate Services who administers the Local Government, Police and Firefighters Pension Schemes for employers in Devon and Somerset. Currently there is in excess of 350 employers which in addition to Devon County Council and Somerset County Council includes unitary authorities, District Councils, colleges, academies, universities, together with Avon and Somerset Police Authority and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
The primary goal of the pension unit is to provide a professional and efficient service to the scheme employers and scheme members.
This role involves the management of all incoming and outgoing post, and the scanning and indexing of all documents via an integrated imaging system, to ensure the accurate allocation of workflow across the Peninsula Pensions office.
Additionally to update and maintain member records and provide support to the Systems Development Team.
