Software Engineer

Introduction

Haran Solutions Limited is one of UK’s rapidly growing business consulting companies specialising in providing consulting and business solutions to industry and public sector enterprises across UK.

Currently we are looking for two software engineers for this role for our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Software Engineer’s responsibilities will include the development, maintenance and administration of bespoke database systems, and the administration of our 3rd party off-the-shelf database products and CRM.

• To install, implement and configure CRM for business needs.
• To integrate CRM with other systems such as financial software Sage and routing systems
• To modify coding in CRM by changing modules written in Python and Perl
• To develop a customized ERP with sales, customer service, accounts, finance and HR module for a client
• To create sophisticated SQL Server database to responsively handle complex queries (T-SQL, DTS, triggers, stored procedures, functions, optimization) and .NET data access components
• To perform ETL operations on heterogeneous data sources such as No SQL systems, SQL systems, flat files, excel files and legacy databases
• To build data models that demonstrate customer experience and have the ability to measure several KPI's
• Data quality assurance and data analysis
• Ownership, design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions
• IT system enhancements to enable the build/release process
• Document technical and functional specifications, business requirements and gap analysis
• To integrate and deploy model and Business Intelligence products changes
• Automating, Scheduling and Monitoring the daily/weekly and monthly loads
• Getting data and generating reports from various SQL RDBMS, legacy data sources.
• To create new applications and maintain existing applications written in Python on Django web framework.

Essential Experience

• Programming in Python on Django framework to create web based applications.
• Have a detailed understanding of CRM modules.
• Demonstrable experience with Data-warehousing Concepts
• Proven experience in SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2014 and other databases like Oracle
• T-SQL or PL/SQL programming skills and best practices
• MS Excel, Power Pivot, C# programming, Scripting Languages (Python)
• Awareness of variety of data storage technologies/platforms.
• A strong understanding of development lifecycles
• An analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A solid development background within data delivery
• Translating the requirements into Technical specifications to create state-of-the art business solutions
• Experience in Data modeling and complex transformations
• Implementation of suitable data warehouse solution on different Databases.
• Extensive experience of investigating, analysing and documenting business processes, and defining supporting functional or non-functional requirements and functional designs

Desired Experience

• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively
• Quick learner who has a passion for new technology and frameworks.
• Programming performance optimization – data queries and/or software functions
• Certifications in any Database and Reporting applications
• SQL database administration
• Knowledge in database programming.
• Experience in managing Data Driven Frame works

Skill Sets Required

• Candidate should be ready to deliver high quality outputs in tight timelines
• Extensive experience of investigating, analysing and documenting business processes, and defining supporting functional or non-functional requirements and functional designs
• Capable to communicate & understand the concerns of Applications and UI and work towards a solution.
• Experience in utilising key Data Warehousing elements using multidimensional architecture
• Experience in Data Collection and Transformations (ETL Process).
• Inter-Personal Skills – You should have demonstrable communication skills, problem-solving and “can-do” attitude.
• Team player with demonstrative ability to multi task under tight time constraints and with strict confidentiality guidelines

Education Level / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Mathematics
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics – Preferred
